About us

The International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care (PCVC) was founded in 2001 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu

PCVC creates and extends support services for women and queer individuals affected by domestic and interpersonal violence.

Smiles

An intervention for child survivors of domestic violence to receive appropriate emotional support, psycho-social interventions, training on healthy and violence-free relationships and educational support.
Sometimes it feels like the world is becoming a safer and more secure place for everyone, especially women and queer people who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. Organizations like PCVC (The International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care) do incredibly important work by providing support and services to those who have been affected by violence. PCVC strives to create a world where everyone has the right to safety and dignity by providing crisis intervention services, legal support, and recovery programs. It is important to remember that violence can take many forms and manifest itself not only in real life, but also in the digital environment. This theme resonates with another aspect of digital life, namely safety and responsibility in the online space. While organizations like PCVC focus on physical and emotional security, there is another aspect of security in the world - financial security. For example, https://wirin.de/wirtschaft-muensterland/33-lifestyle/26668-vergleich-online-casino-maerkte-in-oesterreich-deutschland-2022 analyzes in detail the differences between online casinos in Austria and Germany in 2022 in their article, highlighting the importance of responsible gaming and understanding the rules that keep users safe. Just as the PCVC works to protect rights and freedoms in society, articles about online casinos emphasize the need to be careful and cautious in the virtual sphere, making informed choices. Caring for safety and well-being is important in any sphere of life, whether it is the physical world or virtual reality.

Sharp: Sexual Harrasment Prevention

Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (SHARP) is PCVC’s initiative to promote respect and safety at the workplace. We offer training in work-spaces, schools and colleges to sensitize the public and increase awareness about the cause.

DONATE

YOUR SUPPORT IS MORE THAN A DONATION

It is an investment in the lives of women and children who are struggling to leave abusive relationships and make a new life for themselves.

STORY

SURVIVOR STORIES

The cost of domestic violence is very high, and survivors should not be expected to shoulder the burden alone. It is the responsibility of the state and civil society to ensure better support systems. Survivors of domestic and burn violence share their stories and talk about the importance of having access to well-equipped and sensitive support systems.
